Type the names, watch it paint, then order.

Most grandparents already have the photos. What they rarely have is one picture of the whole family they built: every child, every spouse, every grandchild, in its place.

That is what this canvas is. Here is what makes it different.

  1. It shows the whole family in one look

The grandparents are on the trunk, because everything grows from them. Each of their children sits on their own limb with their spouse. Every grandchild is written in the branches above their parents, framed by curling twigs. Grandparents can point to it and tell the story of the family in one breath.

  2. Everyone is in the right place

Nobody has to wonder whose kids are whose. Each son or daughter gets their own branch. Their children are written just above them in birth order, oldest highest, so each family reads as one group.

  3. It looks like art, not a template

Many name trees online are clip-art with text dropped on top. This one is a watercolor-style oak in indigo and sage with gold leaves, layered washes and paper grain. Your family's names are framed by its branches, the way an heirloom painting would be done.

  4. It fits your family, whatever its size

Two children or six. One grandchild or thirty. The names spread across the tree to fit, and a son or daughter without kids yet still gets their own place. Single parents can be listed on their own. For very big families we print the lettering a little smaller, and show you first.

  5. Add the generation before, in the roots

For $12 more, the grandparents' own parents can be written in the roots, with their years. Each root splits around a name, so the family runs from great-grandparents to grandchildren in one picture.

  6. You see it before you pay

There is no designer to email and no waiting for a proof. You type each name into a simple form, and the names appear on the painting as you go. What you see is exactly what gets printed.

  7. It is easy to split with your siblings

It is a gift from all of the grandparents' children, so most families split it. See what it comes to:

Questions

How long does it take to arrive?

Each tree is printed to order in the USA: 2–5 business days to print, then 3–7 business days in transit. Most arrive about 2 weeks after you order. For Christmas, order by Monday, December 7.

What if someone's name is spelled wrong?

The tree is printed exactly as you type it, so check every name in the preview before ordering. If you spot a mistake after ordering, contact us right away and we will fix it if it has not gone to print.

Can I include a son or daughter who has no kids?

Yes. They get their own place on the tree, and their kids can be added in an updated print later.

What about single parents, divorces or blended families?

The spouse field is optional, so a branch can show one name. For more complicated layouts, message us before you order and we will help.

Can I add great-grandchildren?

Not yet. The tree covers grandparents, their children and grandchildren, and optionally the grandparents' parents in the roots.

Can I return it?

Because every tree is made with your family's names, we can't take returns for a change of mind. If it arrives damaged or misprinted, email us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we reprint it for free.
