Family Legacy Tree

A Gift for Grandparents with Every Grandchild's Name

Grandparents are hard to shop for. They have the mugs, the frames and the blankets. What they don't usually have is one picture of everyone: their own children, the people those children married, and every grandchild, all in one place and all by name.

Every grandchild, by name

Grandma and Grandpa sit on the trunk, with the year they married. Each of their children gets a branch, and the grandchildren are written in the branches above their own parents, oldest first. Nobody gets left out: a son or daughter without children still has their own branch.

You type the names on the personalize page and the tree paints itself as you go, so you see exactly what will be printed before you pay.

Why it works as a gift

• It is about them. Every name on it is someone they love.
• It goes on the wall. It is printed on canvas and stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang over a sofa, a fireplace or a hallway console.
• Siblings can share it. One gift from all the children: at $129, four siblings pay about $32 each.
• New grandchildren later? You can order an updated tree when the family grows.

How many grandchildren fit

The 36 × 24 in canvas ($129) fits most families, up to about 25 names. For bigger families choose 48 × 32 in ($199), where every name prints a third larger. The tree holds up to 6 children with up to 6 grandchildren each. If the names get small, the preview tells you, so there are no surprises.

Great-grandparents in the roots

For $12 more you can add Grandpa's and Grandma's parents in the roots, up to two on each side, with their years. It turns the picture into four generations.
